The development consisted of the refurbishment of an existing traditional care home into an Extra Care home. This type of accommodation helps to maintain the independence of older people by providing individual dwellings with fully private facilities, alongside communal services should they be required.

The scheme comprises 35 one and two bedroom self-contained flats, communal dining and living areas and shared facilities, such as assisted bathrooms and laundry facilities. As well as the refurbishment, it included a conservatory and roof extensions providing additional accommodation, along with the installation of a communal heating system with a Combined Heat and Power unit.
