Sandwood is proud of its reputation as a main contractor dedicated to the construction of high quality developments. Established in 1990, the firm had a turnover of £11.5m in 2006 and has a directly employed workforce. Our projects range in size from £500,000 to £5m. 

We are specialists in social housing, particularly new build, but also have substantial refurbishment experience. Most of our work is residential for rent or shared ownership, and we also have considerable experience of supported housing, extra care homes and nurseries throughout the London area.

We currently have formal partnerships with a number of Registered Social Landlords, and enjoy working with a portfolio of repeat clients. However we always welcome the opportunity of working with new clients and taking on new challenges.

Sandwood has a particular interest in sustainability, and has constructed numerous homes achieving "Excellent" and "Very Good" EcoHomes ratings. Sandwood has FSC Chain of Custody status and is a member of the Green Register .

Sandwood Design and Build Ltd is the parent company of Sandwood Construction Ltd and Original Features (Restorations) Ltd .

Sandwood Design and Build Ltd is the design and build arm of the organisation, which accounts for the majority of our contracts.

Sandwood Construction Ltd undertakes traditional contracts. All resources are available to both arms of the organisation.

Original Features (Restorations) Ltd retails both modern and original fireplaces and floor tiles.
